Frequently Asked Questions

  • O Mahj-Spa is Highlands Ranch’s first dedicated Mahjong Parlor and Social Club, located inside Olive Juice Beauty Bar. Inspired by the breezy warmth of the Mediterranean, our light-filled, conservatory-style space features floor-to-ceiling glass walls, warm aesthetic touches, and a relaxed environment to learn, play, and socialize.

  • Yes! We offer Mahjong 101: Will You Accept This Tile?, a zero-pressure, 3-hour beginner workshop led by our exclusive in-house instructor, the OG Bachelorette Trista Sutter. You’ll learn tile recognition, card reading, line building, and basic gameplay. We run beginner classes 2–4 times per month.

  • Mahjong 2.0: Beyond the Basics is a 2.5-hour class designed for players who already understand basic gameplay or have taken our 101 course. Led by Trista Sutter, this session focuses on strategy, card reading, defensive tactics, and faster play with hands-on guidance.

  • Trista Sutter—best known as television’s very first Bachelorette—is our exclusive, in-house Mahjong instructor! A long-time Colorado resident with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy, Trista brings warmth, endless patience, and high energy to every lesson. Having led dozens of beginner and strategy sessions, her students rave about her ability to make a complex game simple, approachable, and amazingly fun.  Plus, how cool is it to brag to your friends that you learned how to play the hottest game in Highlands Ranch right now directly from the OG Bachelorette and Bach Nation fairy godmother herself?

  • Class tickets ($75 for Mahjong 101 / $60 for Mahjong 2.0) include all class instruction, complete Mahjong setups (tiles, mats, racks, and NMJL cards), one free drink (choice of soft drink, wine, prosecco, beer, coffee, or tea), and a build-your-own snack bag from our Mahjong Munchie Bar. Additional drinks are available for purchase.

  • Registration fees are fully refundable up to 7 days prior to your class date. Cancellations made within seven (7) days of the event—including day-of cancellations and no-shows—are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-creditable, with no exceptions.

  • Social Open Play offers dedicated 2-hour sessions to gather, play, and connect. You can reserve a full private table for your established squad or register as a solo player to get matched with a friendly group. We supply all the equipment, including tiles, mats, dice, and NMJL cards.

  • Open Play runs Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Sundays from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Reservations are required for all 2-hour sessions. The cost is $25 per person. Snacks, soft drinks, wine, prosecco, coffee, and tea are available for purchase throughout your session.
